Next Step Beauty training have found over the last 18months that many students are contacting us with the same questions, so we have chosen here at next step to clearly outline the difference between a hollywood and brazillian wax.
Hollywood Waxing: is a very specialised treatment and requires a therapist or salon owner to be trained within advanced waxing which is something that next step beauty can provide for therapists and salon owners across the UK. A hollywood wax is when all hair is removed from all areas including all of the underneath and above. This treatment can be very uncomfortable at first as the hair is very coarse, it can also take up to 1 hour depending on the hair growth. Clients should return to the salon every 6-8weeks.
Brazillian Waxing: is again a very specialised treatment and also requires alot of practice, Next step can provide this training to all salons and therapists across the UK. A brazillian wax is when all hair is removed from underneath and a small landing strip is left over the pubic bone, this is often more commonly chosen over a hollywood wax as a small amount of hair is left leaving you feeling still like a woman. A brazillian wax can take up to 45mins depending upon the hair growth, clients will need to return to the salon every 6-8 weeks.
Next Step hope that this statement will help all salon owners and therapists clearly understand the difference between a brazillian and hollywood wax but any further questions or if you are interested in training with Next Step contact us directly.
